1. Yes
2. It was really interesting to study about the influence of marijuana to teenagers. Since I am a teenager as well, it was easy to understand how they feel, and it was really a serious and big problem to me. It was benefitial to study about this topic because since I know about this problem, I will not have any troubles with it. it was really nice to know what are my peers struggle with. It was sad to find out that many teengers smoke weed, and the number is increasing every year.
3. Yes, I have several friends who smoke marijuana. I want to tell them how bad it is for their health physically and mentally. Also I am sure I will meet people who smokes marijuana in the future, I wish I will get a chance to talk about it and change their mind towards weed.
4. Yes, because I know the information and facts to back up my opinion. I can come up with several ways to approve my point and credible reasons as well.
5. I learend that credibility is really important. During this assignment, I read a lot of articles, but only found few articles that are credible. If the article is not trustful, it means nothing. Credible information helps me to back up my topic and builds up my opinions.

phase 7
http://teens.drugabuse.gov/drug-facts/marijuana
This article is called "NIDA for teens" provided from the government. They give out contact informations, address, etc which gives us credibility about their website. I choice Marijuana section out of different categories. It has a lot of information about marijuana in different fields. They update almost once a every months, and the last time they update was on February 19th 2013. I think this article will be really helpful. First of all, it is a government website which makes me easier to trust their information. Second of all, the website has different categories about marijuana. They not only talk about general information about marijuana, but also talk about medical impact, teenager influence, and even the way to quit. At last, on the bottom of the page, they have different links that are related to the topic. I do not have to look around find another article, but I can just click on whatever links that I think it would help me.
This article has nine different information about marijuana. Street names, how it is used, number of teenagers who smoke marijuana, short and long term effects, potential lead to other drugs, medical marijuana, and how to quit smoking. Marijuana is dried leaves which contains delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol as known as THC. This is the main chemical that effect our brain and thinking.
The most important aspect of teenagers smoking marijuana is that it is not only effect themselves but people aroung them. Most of them started with curiosity and trends but they really need to get out that.
*What strikes you? What is confusing? What is surprising?
By lookin at long term effect of marijuana, I was really surprised that marijuana can cause lung cancer and airway troubles. Unlike other tabacco product, I thought marijuana has no effect on people's lungs. Also It is pretty interesting how marijuana effects physically and mentally.
*If you assume that this is true, why is it significant?
People has no control towards how they act after they smoke marijuana. If you smoke weed, it is not only affect you but also affect other people around you. You do not know what you are doing, and people might get scared of you. It is very significant that marijuana has an effect on people's brain.
*How does the information stand up to your own experiences and observations?
If you look at the short term effect, it says you will have your own world inside of your mind. One of my friends used to smoke every single day, and he used to describe the craziest stuff to me. For example, he told me there were bunch of little kids running around him and he had to be careful not to step on them. It scares me just to think about that because I feel like I would not know what to do, or freak out if that imagination stuff happens to me.
*What further questions does the information raise that might be worth investigating?
In order to get long term symptoms, how long do you have to smoke weed for?
How often do you need to smoke in order to define yourself as addicted to a marijuana?

Phase 6
http://www.drugabuse.gov/publications/drugfacts/high-school-youth-trends
This article is called "High school and Youth trends" by National institute on druge abuse which updated on December, 2012 for the last time. This is credible because it has solid evidence with exact dates and research results. Comparing with other articles, the results are close enough to trust and has breif explanation as well. This article will be helpful because it shows the chart which compares the percentage of use of marijuana with other drug uses. If you look at the chart, percentage of use of marijuana is so much higher than any other illicit drugs. It helps me to prove that it is a serious problem that our society faces.
This article talks about how the number of teenagers who use marijuana increases again since 2000. By comparing marijuana with other drugs, students use marijuana way more than other drugs. Students also use other drugs that has similar effects as weed such as K2, and spice.
*What strikes you? What is confusing? What is surprising?
Since I already knew the seriousness of marijuana, it did not surprised me that much. However, I was really shocked there are so many other drugs that people take, and the percentages are not low either. I was confused how people get all the heavy drugs such as heroin, cocaine, or ritalins.
*If you assume that this is true, why is it significant?
I think teenagers choose to smoke marijuana because it is cheapter compare to other drugs and it is also easier to get it. By providing charts, we can see that marijuana is the most common drug that teenagers use. Comparing with other drugs helps me to understand how common it is among teenagers. It is definitely better to understand than giving out numbers.
*How does the information stand up to your own experiences and observations?
I have seen many people smoking marijuana smoking marijuana. It was pretty easy to understand the chart because most of my friends, or people around me smoke weed, or have done that in past. It makes sense that percentage of use of marijuana is so much higher than other drugs. Before I read this article I did not even know people use drugs other than marijuana. It is because marijuana is easier to find, or cheaper than other drugs.
*What further questions does the information raise that might be worth investigating?
Since when the marijuana became the common drug among teenagers?
How and where teenagers get marijuana at first place?

"Plagiarism isn't a bad thing simply because it's an act of intellectual theft, although it is that. It is a bad thing because it takes the place of and prevents learning."
If you assume that this is true, why is it significant?
* I think it is significant because if we choose to copy or take words from someone else, they have right to get credit. It is their words so we should give them credits, otherwise, it is just stealing someone else's ideas.
* I did not think of plagiarism will affect our learning skills. Everytime I get words from someone, I thought it would make my paper look better but actually it does not help me improve my writing skills if i keep taking words from someone.

http://articles.latimes.com/2012/dec/19/news/la-heb-drug-use-teenagers-marijuana-survey-20121219
This article is called "Marijuana use among teens rises, national survey finds". I found this article in Los Angelas Times. I think this source is credible since it gives all percentages how use of marijuana among teenagers rises. It also gives exact amount of students they surveyed. The author also gives exact date of when they started research, in what year the rate of weed smokers is lowest or highest.
This article will helpful for me to write a research paper, because it provides credible information. This will help me to back up my ideas and lead me to research other aspect of marijuana such as why is the rate of marijuana increases, or what is the main fact that leads use of marijuana.
*What strikes you? What is confusing? What is surprising?
I did not realize the seriousness of using marijuana until I read this article. It surprises me that so many high school students smoke marijuana starting at 8th grade. By knowing all the side effects of weed, it is sad to know that there are many students smoking marijuana.
*If you assume that this is true, why is it significant?
Smoking marijuana is illegal in most of states in America, and there are reasons if it is illegal. Obviously it is not good for your body, and messes up your brain and thoughts. However, students choose to smoke marijuana, and the rate is keep increasing. This article is significant because that shows the seriousness of this problem and hopefully this rate data helps to find solutions.
*How does the information stand up to your own experiences and observations?
I have been in U.S over three years, and I can even see that students who smoke marijuana increased rapidly past couple years. When I came to America first, I did not know anybody who smokes, or heard people saying about marijuana. However, now, I have friends who smokes marijuana, seen people dealing, and saw students who got trouble because of it.
*What further questions does the information raise that might be worth investigating?
What is the purpose of smoking weed?
What made students smoke weed?

http://www.aacap.org/cs/root/facts_for_families/marijuana_and_teens
The first article gives out how marijuana is harmful to teenagers and their research result which shows teenager marijuana smokers have lower IQ than teenagers who do not smoke. It also has information says not only teenagers but also adults and young people get influenced by weed.
The second article talks marijuana in general. It has all kinds of street names, medical marijuana, prevention ,and all kinds of side effect of marijuana. It also gives information how parents can teach and help their children to get out of addiction. This article is also credible because it is from American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry which provides pretty solid back ground information about this organization.
By studying teenagers who smoke marijuana, the result shows teenager who smoke marijuana showed an eight point drop in IQ. The author controlled alcohol use, other drug uses to get an accurate result as well. It shows marijuana has huge impact in our brain. The expert pointed out that Myelin is a main problem that effects teenagers. People often think it is an insulation for nerve cells but it can be really harmful for our body as well.
Many teenagers experiment marijuana due to the curiosity, peer pressure. They often use it without noticing its side effects such as dizziness, acting silly, red eyes, increased irritability, and being hungry and eating more than usual. Not only those side effects that happens while smoking, but also they have long term effects, and short term effects which happens even when you are not smoking. To prevent our children from marijuana, parents should listen them and ask them questions without getting angry. They should also give examples why it is bad for the body, and they should be honest if they chose to tell them about their own experience.

The influence of marijuana to teenagers
It is pretty common that teenagers smoke marijuana. It is still illegal most of the states because it has alot of side effects. First of all, teenagers who smoke marijuana have less bright future. They only hangout with smokers, and usually do not care about school works. I think their personality also changes dramatically. They get extremely emotional, and sometimes lose their memories while they are high. It is also very dangerous and also addicting. Marijuana is extremely expensive as well. However, high school students do not really care if they can smoke. There are at least couple people in school that smokes weed, and it is not hard to get it on street. I chose this topic because I used to go public school in Canada, and saw many people try to deal and got high during classes. It is really serious problem that American high school faces.
